How pretty is that? Gorgeous bike! I'm glad he's riding it and not just storing it.

There's a vintage bike shop in Canton, Ohio who specializes in restoring old bikes. I think I saw an S90 in there last summer. It may have been a CL70 though.

In high school, my cousin's family had one of these while we only had the Honda 65. It was amazing how much more power that extra 25cc's generated. I loved both these bikes- my entry to motorcycling.

Now that I met this guy, he could hook me up with a local vintage motorcycle group. Hmmmmmm sounds interesting. Who knows, I may end up with a vintage bike in my garage, if I find the right one. At least I can look!

Thnaks for the pic! I bought a brand new red one in 1965. It was my second bike and I loved it. If I can find one to buy and restore, I'm gonna do it!

Van is in a vintage motorcycle club. He has several vintage bikes in his possession. I plan on seeing his inventory and taking some pics of course. Then post on this forum for all to see.

Buddy of mine got a red one back in '88-'89. The 2 of us(!) would go out riding on it. It's the bike that got me hooked. He still has it in the corner of his garage.

I belong to the VJMC (Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club). Collectors of Honda's mostly prevail. You can still find the small bore Hondas from the 60's and 70's at pretty reasonable prices and restoring them is not too difficult or costly. It does not cost much to join and they have a really good club mag. They also have regional get togethers and also meet annually at Mid Ohio. If you like vintage Japanese bikes this is a good club to belong to.

That S90 is quite a good looking machine.

I also belong to the VJMC (in Australia) as I have a 1982 CX500 Turbo.

I try to go to the annual Australian rallies (which move from state to state every couple of years) as it is amazing what bikes turn up.

Next year the Australian VJMC rally is in South Australia which is about an 1,800 mile round trip for me but I am looking forward to it.

I would absolutely love to ride the NT but as it is the 35th anniversary of the CX500 we are planning on having a huge turnout of CX's at the rally.

At this stage I am not sure if I will be riding or trailering the CX500 Turbo, it will probably depend on how much time I can take off work.

Is the CX pretty reliable? I had a GL650 that was, at least for the 19,000 miles I rode it, very reliable. I wondered if the turbo reduced that reliablility.

Phil we are way way off topic but yes the Turbo is very reliable and would easily do the return trip. My Turbo has only about 32,000Km's/20,000 miles on it and it is primarily a show bike these days although I do ride it about 2,000 to 3,000 Km's per year to rally's etc.

One of he members in the Australian CX/GL forum has a CX500 Turbo that has travelled over 100,000 miles and is still going strong, and without a rebuild. He pulled the motor down at 60,000 miles as he was sure it should need a rebuild but he put it all back together as there was no noticeable wear and tear.
