It Happened Again

I always end up with old guys that want to talk about the Indian they once had. They could care less what I am riding. My NT is definitely not a young person magnet unless they are around 8 and they just want to know how fast it will go.

Yeah, I'm with Warren. Once I take my helmet off and people see I'm an old coot, old timers (most of whom no longer ride) come over to talk.

I definitely get a lot more people asking me about the nt, than I did my last bike, the ctx. Mostly older guys admiring, then they are always surprised to see a young guy on it. I'm 23 and I do realize I'm probably one of the youngest on this bike, but it just seemed like a good choice for me. But as for the problem you speak of, us younger guys are somewhat new at motorcycling, compared to guys who have been riding 30 or 40 years. We're always happy to strike up a conversation about anything motorcycle related.

Not here in Tacoma. Only compliments here are when I am in my truck.

What hair? :)

Young guys are "attracted" by my ammo can panniers. Old guys comment on the Goose, as in, "I (or someone they knew) used to have one".

I think I've had more people talk to me about my NT than ever talked to me about my Concours. It seems to attract people of all ages and both men and women have talked to me.

On the Connie, I always got the older gentlemen who would tell me about the only time they had ever ridden their uncle's motorcycle and "that thing nearly killed me."

Some colour schemes on vehicles look better than others. For example:

British Racing Green on British sports cars

Silver on some German cars:

And of course Black:

I'm not wanting to start the old colour argument again re the NT700 but probably have!

John, I'm deliberating whether or not to delete your post as an aggressive act. :shrug2: :rofl1:

On my FJR, even Harley riders have asked me, "What kind of BMW is that?"

LOL! With the red and white HMW roundel on my bike, I've had people ask me if BMW makes Hondas now or if Honda had bought BMW.

Phil, where did you get the "HMW roundel" on your bike? I have been calling my NT my HMW for obvious reasons. Sure would like a couple of those for my bike.

Clyde (at least I assume that's your name), I got them from a guy named Brad Esler. I just emailed him to see if they're still available. I'll let you know as soon as I hear from him.
