Just saw a cool bike that wasn't an NT

Today I spotted a wild 05 Kawa ZFR 1200. It's metalic lime green paint looked great against the black / bronze / silver engine. Guy said they tuned it for midrange and some low end performance. Very minimalist fairing. Nice bike. Anyone have any tales about em' ?
 
Can't remember if he said the factory detuned it for more street than track or if he did it. Think he said it was all stock. It felt very light - low center of G.
 
I probably got the call letters wrong - it was 1200 cc / naked except for a minimal shroud around headlight and micro windshield . Owner made it sound like the power was tuned for better use on road vs hell bent track running. Was a cool bike
