I've been using Furkot on the web, and then exporting the track to KML, and importing to maps.me
But mostly just fantasy-touring, I haven't used that technique for any real trips yet. The last trip I took of any significant distance, I followed roadsigns, and when I got home I figured out where I'd been. Then I came to understand why a trip that should have taken only an hour and a half, actually took three.
