I would ride the bike for awhile before doing any ergonomic mods; seats, lowering pegs, bar risers, etc, to see if they are needed....

The Honda Wind deflectors work very well and are highly recommended. The ThrottleMeister was a total disaster, at least on my bike, so I do not recommend it. I bought a Corbin Seat from a forum member and quickly passed it on to another member, again not recommended. Also be advised there have been a lot of fitment, or rather the lack there of, issues with Corbin's, read the threads before deciding.

Everything you listed has been reviewed, or discussed, on this forum so you have a good source of info to get you started.

Their are a couple areas you didn't cover that needed improvement for me. The first was a set of MCL Bar risers, they made a big improvement for me. The second was a Cee Bailey+2 "flip" windshield which also helped me enjoy my NT. Once again though ride your NT for awhile to see if you need those tweaks, not everyone does... Last for blasting across eastern Montana at night I would definitely be upgrading the lighting on the NT....

I suspect once you have ridden the bike a bit, you'll figure out what you "need" to adjust. I always ride a bike bone stock for a few months / 1000s of miles before accessing what I might need to change.

Heated seat? I'd pass. Put your money in some heated gear if you want to be warm especially given the limited charging capacity you have on a motorcycle you should put the power towards a jacket and gloves before grips and a seat.

I've always preferred tail bags/tour packs/saddlebags over tank bags but I would make sure you have the handlebars situated (aftermarket risers/bars) before getting a tank bag since a tank bag may fit okay with the OEM setup but not after you change the bars/risers.

If you do find you need some additional lift and pull back on the bars, have a look at the Helibar riser. It provides significant alteration in the bar location and made a huge difference in my wife's comfort level on her NT.

There are three things you didn't mention that are always first on my list. Front visibility (auxiliary lights), rear visibility(auxiliary lighting/reflectors), and paint protection (especially the tank surface to protect from legs and zippers rubbing on it).

Denali LED and Motolights are two auxiliary forward lighting options that have been reviewed on this forum. Low electrical consumption and improved visibility of the bike so have a look at those.

Hyperlights, Addon, and Tailbrights are 3 products folks have reviewed on this forum for increasing rear facing visibility.

For paint protection, I always use Tankslapper film. I like that it is clear and doesn't alter the look of the bike but provides excellent scratch/stone damage protection. It can be installed on the tank, saddlebags, fender, headlight, front fairing, etc.

Lets see, I have and would recommend the following:

Bar risers - you may need a clutch cable for this depending on which one you use

Garmin GPS, regular version, $100 plus holder $15 http://www.ebay.com/itm/260775437640?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
, whole thing is $115, not $650

Coocase with mount - twistedthrottle.com - I'm happy with mine.

Kaoko throttle lock / cruise control - Installation is a little tricky, mine works perfectly - twistedthrottle.com

Oxford kickstand / footstand protector, for soft surfaces. I drilled mine and tied a string to it - twistedthrottle.com - http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/5456

Power outlet - Your choice how you address this, but its a must. here is my thread on this - http://www.nt-owners.org/forums/showthread.php?3428-Power-outlet-installation&highlight=

Bags - Bestem - amazon.com - http://www.amazon.com/Bestem-LGHO-NT700-SDL-Deauville-Sideliner-Saddlebag/dp/B001O640XM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1330527686&sr=8-1

Tank Bag - I like to have one that is simple, the NT is still a metal tank making this easy, I find this one fits well and I take it with me when I want to - cyclegear.com - http://www.cyclegear.com/eng/product/expander_tank_bag/web1001061

I'd agree with those who recommend improved lighting. I've got the original Denalis from TT and they work great out here in Eastern Colorado (which is much like eastern Montana). BTW, I'd also be sure to check the adjustment on your headlight...most of the original ones seemed to point at the ground. When I cranked mine up, it became muuuuccchhh better. I've got a Back-off brake light modulator which I really like, the Admore kit for the CooCase, and Larry Buck's Tailbrites.

Bestem bags make the panniers much more useable, plus I bought a $10-12 duffle at WalMart that goes in the CooCase and is the only think I carry into a motel on a multi-day ride. I've also got the big lids available in Europe. Expensive (about $500 from Honda of Bournemouth UK) but well worth it.

MCL's handlebar risers with his Powerlet/RAM ball bar clamp were a good additon for me. I've got my old Garmin Street Pilot 2730 mounted there.

I got two of the Bags Connection tank bags that use the same mounting clamp. The DayPack is for around town use and City bag for longer trips (because it'll hold my coffee mug). Be sure to put the mounting ring as close to the front of the bag as possible to avoid interference with the handlebars.

I've got a Throttlemeister, but the Kaoko looks really good to me. It wasn't available in the US when I bought my NT. I actually had some email conversation with the Kaoko factory in South Africa and they were very responsive. If for any reason I ever replace the Throttlemeister, I'd definitely get a Kaoko.

I've also got the OEM undercowl, available only on the eastern side of the Pond, purchased from Honda of Bournemouth UK.

For me, most important: 1. Hand wind guards
2. Rox Riser for handlebar with rubber insert for vibration , along with foam grips.
3. Seat re-build by Spencer (see Forums)
4. Honda Topbox
5. Mesh protective jacket for hot weather

Wish list: 1. Heated Grips
2. Honda lower fairing to keep water off feet. (From Europe only for now)
3. Fog lights
4. More time to ride out of home - work area.

Additions I like but not really necessary: 1. Darkened, +2" windshield.
2. Tank pad, Honda
3. Accessory plug
4. GPS and cheap mount. (May upgrade later)

As others have said wait awhile. I have several accessories I purchased that I have not installed yet and I am not sure if I ever will. Turned out I am not sure they will be as helpful as I thought. What I have installed that I would do over again is a top box, heated grips, fenda extenda, bar risers, Zumo 550, wind deflectors. Others I might not, custom seat, large pannier lids, undercowl, larger windscreen, turn signal cancler. I also have all kinds of clothing gear that I would not purchase over again. How many helmet, gloves, jackets, boots, pants etc does one really need. I have enough to clothe the Roman legions.

I just got fome from shop from finnishing the Denai wireing hook up, these are the new ones $359.00, 1 1/2 dia round and as plumed into system produce 100% on hi beam and 70 % on low beam. It took almost a month for Twisted Throttle to get th wire harnes for plug and play to my dealer after it was discovered that it was not in the box that was sent to them!!!, very slow compared to the lip service they provide when they were called, Thier person my shop forman spoke with said he had the item in hand and would get it in mail, a week later when it failed to arrive he called again and got this for a answer" DUHHH, OH, someone came in here and needed the item so we gave it to them, you will have to wait for a shipment to arrive from ??Korea!! I won't go into details as to my verbal coments regarding Twisted Throttle customer service regarding this FIASCO.
I instantly regretted not ordering PIA's from a differant source. In all fairness Twisted Throttle were pretty prompt about providing a replacement relay and harnes after the initial one failed while being installed. Those lights are really great and I am waiting for decent wether to give the brights a road test. The 70 % side worked and helped a lot. ; other farkes, Honda wind deflecter great; Honda heated grips, great; Throttlemiester with Heavy weights, great, installed by shop and workes perfectly WITH the OEM heated grips! Risers, put on before Heli had the ABS unit availible, but they work ok, one day maybe HELI;

BAGS CONNECTION tankbag W/ electrics plumed in, FUSE BLOCK from FUSEBLOCK, 49 Litre Top Box from SHAD, Great nothing needed to mount it as it had it all included items needed with it; Electrical wire leads for heated gear , & Battery tender/ air compresser direct to battery. Kuryakin LED 1 1/2 inch LED lights hooked, $150.00 with tail and brake lights, SUPER, along with Larry Buck Tail Brights, I am very visible from rear. Hepco& Becker Tank guard, complimented with Kuryakin freeway peg system made for Honda Valkarie 1500, great leg position change.CEE BAILY Plus 2 worked better than stock windshield, BUTT the PLUS 4 is even better for my 68 inch heigth
with 28 inch inseams. Russel day long saddle done on a ride in appointment $632.00, a major improvement in comfort, LOL DON'T leave home with out it!!! I did have a setof new soles and heeles put on my SIDI On-Roads as they needed replacing after 100,000 miles, at the same time I had the boot shop add a 1 inch spacer plate to the sole and heel base area LOL now I am a 29 inch inseam and am fine with the added height of the Russell. I did have Russell put in a leather insert for my butt to ride in comfort on.
Also I have added a Stebil air horn to wake up and get attention of dumb cagers. Alsoadded a battery voltage indicater.

I think I am done now unless it is possibly adding a HELI BAR RISER. Other possibley yet to be added is a 3.0 , OR 4.5 gallon AUX FUEL system; and MAYBE radio / & CB system.

If I were to be doing it again what would I leave off? NOTHING!!!!Other items to be added : Possibly a new AEROSTICH ROADCRAFTER.

Oops! Forgot to mention #1 -- a Russell DayLong Saddle.

And a minor one that gives lots of satisfaction: Key knobs made from oil can lids and shortened keys. One in the Pannier lock, other in fairing pocket lock and used to open gas tank. Thanks on that one to Chucksklrst.
