Coyote Chris and I took a 260 mile round trip lunch ride from Spokane to Palouse Falls State Park in SE Washington. Many WA state parks were open for day use starting this week. It was excellent day as advertised. Ride temps from mid 60's to 83. The entire ride was on state roads thru the farm land. The wheat fields are green and roll on seemingly forever until they they give way to the scab land formed by the great ice age floods. We were surprised that the last 2.5 miles was dirt road. Both parking lots were full, but there was plenty of room and the restrooms were open. All in all a great day.
Palouse Falls ... For scale, above the Falls and to the left are two people in the circle and another person in the oval. This is late season runoff.
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!!
Chris, demonstrating proper Social Distancing.
Behind Frosty, a few miles away, the Palouse River joins the Idaho's Snake River which empties into the Columbia.
A great ride with social distancing observed!
... and a celebration of WA State restoring some critical rural services for old men touring.
