Repair Windshield Crack

Has anyone used IPS Weld-On #3 for repairing cracks in a windshield?

I have an inch long crack from one of the mounting holes. It was caused by me flying into it. I've since quit doing that, so it hasn't grown in almost 2 months. Time to fix it or replace the shield. Looks like Weld-On may be the answer.

That looks like this stuff...
Sign makers have a product used to adhere letters to sign faces on back lit poly plastic signs.
They place the letter were they want it apply this water thin stuff around the edge and it wicks into the seam and is invisible when it dry.
And the bolt covers should cover the repair on a part of the windshield you never look thru.
