Replaced my 85W each yellow halogen PIAA aux spot lights with 12W each white LED spot pods. They will not be as bright at the PIAA, but that is ok with me.

Reused the connector, used heat shrinking self soldering connectors to join the wires and then automobile cotton tape to finalize :)

.... now waiting for night to set them up :)

Good about these LEDS is that the power consumption did not go up with voltage. I changed the voltage from 12v to 13.6v. and the current draw in fact went down to keep the wattage to 12w ... color temp is 5500 (so has a lil yellow tint). Amazon page says 5Y warranty, box says 2.. I am good either way.

Can be mounted horizontal or vertical, spot patterns remains same. mounting hardware is also decent.

If they work well, I may put them on my NT also.

PS: i tried a SYLVANIA pod and from 12v to 13.6v it went from 30w to 47w without change in light output..

Looks like a pretty good trade off. LEDs have come a long way in last several years.
I'm not one to replace a regular lamp "just because" but they are great for aux lights.
