I've had my 2010 NT700VA since February of 2021 and so far it's been great. I found an OK deal and got a 2010 with only 6000 miles. Yes, six thousand. Technically, 11 years later, I'm still breaking in the engine. I also changed the 11 year old factory air filter (among a few other things...)
Anyway, the point of this is like many, the lock mechanisms for the saddlebag doors are broke now. I removed the entire linkage and lock mechanism for the right side and have a bungie from underneath the door up to the sissy bar to keep it closed. The left side feels like one of the weak mounts is breaking now.
I'm hoping for ideas / photos on what people have done with their doors after this poorly engineered mounts broke. Sure I've been able to track down replacement doors and such online, but they are all NEW and to replace the entirety of both sides would be well over a grand. I haven't been lucky enough to find doors etc on eBay yet.
So what have others done?
