Re: Sat on the newCTX1300 today

There is nothing wrong with the CTX1300. It's a fine bike, I am sure, for someone who feels he needs a liter bike to accomplish whatever he/she wants. In my case a sub-liter bike works fine for what I want to do. I owned one liter bike back in 1960 and that was a H-D, which was later called a Sportster. It was an ok bike, but I preferred my R-50.

I suspect that someone will come out with a sport touring bike in the 700 to 800cc range. Until that time comes, I'll enjoy my ST-700.

The T in ctx i think is for the blutooth iphone/ headset connectivity.. Its appealing, but the price is too high for me, maybe $13500 and i would be more interested. I think dealers will be discounting next spring ( i hope) . The saddlebags are a wee small, but removable thank goodness, lol,

i need to check how the pax footroom is, anyone know?
