Warren,

I looked at the Scorpion last week at Twisted Throttle and they look real good, I'm thinking of a HI VIS something, jacket or vest. I didn't think to look at the price, WAIT I will call now, OK, Commander = $ 171.86 Hi Vis is a Large - Tall. Jenn tells me that Scorpion is not doing jackets any longer and it is a close out sale because they didn't sell well. I might have to go look at that jacket a little closer.

I just received my jacket from Competition Accessories. It is a very nice jacket. A lot of pockets as one would expect. It also has two liners which I have not seen in a jacket before. One insulated and one wind and water proof. You can take each of them out seperately with their own zipper. It does run small so you need to order one size larger than you normally would. I usually wear a medium and the large fits me perfect. For the price you can not beat this jacket. It does appear that it will be best used as a three seasons jacket. It should be especially good in cold weather. I am not sure how well it will work in hot weather. It does have two vents in the chest and one in each arm with a large one in the back but it is a heavy jacket and I suspect it will be hot in 85?+ temperatures. I wore mine for my morning commute and it let in no air and was very comfortable. The Hi Viz yellow also stands out very well. The Commander Jacket is ever bit the quality of my Kilimanjaro with more features and it cost over $100 less.

Glad you got a "find". My jacket, Olympia GT Air Transitions, also has the two liner type system. I think you will like that. I find it very versatile as you can tailor the jacket to conditions very closely. Last weekend I found myself riding back to Houston from Lockhart in 100 degree heat with mesh panels closed. It was surprisingly comfortable. It's not intuitive, but it works, at high temps you do have to slow down the air flow.

Keep the shiny side up,

Chuck
