I also trailered my new bike home
I have a Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab with a short bed and the bike fit perfectly. I wish that I had read this thread six months ago as I had the dealer strap it down and by the time I got home, 40 miles, the bike was leaning, not too bad, but for a new owner and my first bike it really worried me.
I don't know the ramp that you will be using, but make sure you have help. We all know how heavy the bike is.
