The diversity of the Japanese car/Bike market is pretty cool. 600cc cars look like tons of fun! Glad we r getting all the 300 sport bikes and scooters. Come on Harley! Lol.

The 300cc Kawasaki Ninja is one superfine bike. I had a 2007 250 Ninja before I got the NT, and that little bike was a screamer--loved track days. It is hard to imagine 500 and 600cc cars. I test drove a Fiat Abarth (500cc) and it was a blast to drive. I just wonder how long one of those engines would last. It seems like it is a lot to ask of a 500.

The early Honda N600 that was imported into the US in 1970-1972 had a 598CC air cooled twin in it.

They were around 40 HP weighed around 1300 lbs and had a top speed around 75mph.

I remember looking at one on a dealers lot and was amazed that a car had basically a motorcycle engine in it. At the time I was riding a Honda CB350.

The first car I purchased in 1973 was a Honda Civic. It had a real car engine in it which was water cooled with four cylinders and around 1200 CC. It weighed around 1,500 lbs. Both are tiny compared to my current Honda Fit which is classified as a sub compact car but weighs around 2,600 lbs.

You had the hi-dollar, export model. In Japan it was an N360! :)

In the 70s, Honda also made a larger sedan that was fitted with an air-cooled, inline 4. I saw one in the parking lot at work when I was working in Japan and it looked like someone had dropped a CB750 single cam engine into a sedan that looked similar to a Mazda RX2. :)
