Years ago when the weather would cooperate my dad and I would do our best to get in a Christmas Ride. Sometimes it was a short one due to cold temps, but a ride just the same. It always seemed to make my dad so happy and I so enjoyed those times.

My son just got his first motorcycle going in July this year with our first two day trip in August and a 3 day trip in September. They were both fabulous however, I experience the most fun I-ve had in years when he contacted me yesterday and said he would like to do a Christmas Ride like my dad and I used to do.

The morning was cold so we waited till noon to take off. The temp on this Christmas Day in WV reached 55 wonderful degrees and words cannot explain how I felt during our 135 miles of smiles. Great tradition. Now you just have to continue the Christmas rides.
It hit 70 deg here today. Seems a little odd to be that warm but I had to take a short ride to make sure it was real.

Great story. My oldest son and I have always tried to ride on New Year's Day, but sadly he has moved to Ohio near Cleveland. We are still going to try to continue a New Year's ride but separately.

We got 4" of snow and 35mph winds today. I think I've had my last ride for 2019.

I got in another ride yesterday with friends and next Friday appears to be another good day with temp in the upper 40s. If that happens, it'll be my first ride of the new decade. :)

Hope you get to Mike. I hope this was the beginning of the tradition for he and I. It's a pretty awesome feeling.

Scott and I joined 5 others this past Saturday afternoon for a 100 mile jaunt. But the weather hasn't been good since and it's now New Years Eve. That was it. Looking forward to first ride of the new year / decade.
