I wont bore you with how I found this out....but I have a Federal Pacific Electric Circuit Breaker Panel. I was googleing how to replace a breaker and found out these panels are death traps and kill 13 people a year.
The Stab lok breakers were certified under false pretense and are defective as in 15-60 percent defective. Houses that were built between 1950 and 1990 are suspect to having these panels.
If anyone has had their panel replace, please PM me with the proceedure as to needing building permits, time involved, etc.
