First off Kudos to Phil Tarman for introducing Honda NT700 & this Owners Forum to me.

In the USA I live w my son in Brighton Colorado. I currently spend most of my time in Bicol Philippines w my wife.

In 1991 I completed the USAF version the MSF Rider course while stationed in Germany.

My First bike was a 1982 Kawasaki GPZ750 which crashed & replaced w 1987 Yamaha FZ 700.

Brought he FZ700 back to USA in 1992. Sold it when my son was born in 1997.

Moved to Colorado in 2005 & decided it was time to Ride again. 2006 Kawasaki Concours was my first brand New bike.

Met Phil & lots of good people through COG Concours Owners group.

Since I spend lots of time in Philippines sold my Concours. I am ready to ride AGAIN... the NT700 is the only bike that fits my needs. So here I am! :)

Welcome, enjoy your bike and the company here. Cheers.

Welcome to the forum! Like you, I had a Kawasaki GPZ 750, which I loved but thankfully didn't crash. That one was a 0 or 70 bike (it was not happy at the speeds in between).

I've had a lot of bikes in 40 plus years of riding (ahem... started when I was 2 I guess) and the NT is the best all around bike. Rides well, thrifty, handles smoothly, and the engine is excellent. This July, we'll be riding the California coast into Washington State then turning left and heading back to Virginia the long way on back roads.

The NT will be more acrobatic than the Concours and you'll appreciate the lack of complexity and the light feel of the bike which belies its 560 lb. weight.

Thanks for the Welcome! That GPZ750 was my 1st bike. It was an American Spec bike & being in West Germany it would have been too expensive & taken too long to repair. We explored most of Western Europe together... I sure do miss her.
My current steed here in PI is a Suzuki Raider 150cc. Look forward to Riding w You!!

Welcome to the world of the NT and the forums. You will meet a lot of great folks here. Phil is a great guy. I plan to see him next month. Enjoy the ride !

Hi, Tim! Welcome to the Forum! It's a good'un.

FYI, Tim is looking for an NT to buy.

Welcome Aboard and Greetings from So Cal.

I had a 1982 GPZ550 in the early 1990s. It was the fastest bike I ever owned for quite a while. I sold it to get a beater 1975 GL1000 that I turned into a functional "Frankenbike" or Rat Rod before that was a thing. All that before I was 18 years old. I also graduated High School back in 1992.

Tim if you are still looking for an NT to buy a dealer in Arkansas still has my old one for sale (I traded for a Kawasaki 650 Versys). I traded it in Russellville and the dealer transferred it to his other shop in Hot Springs. It is a 2010 NT700 red non-ABS version, 46,500 miles.
His website is http://www.mikejohnsonspowersports.com/. Look under in stock pre owned inventory and it is still there. I can give you specific info on it and maintenance history.

Brad

I hope Tim won't mind if I beat him to sharing the news -- he bought this bike in Hamilton, MT today:

Al's will keep it until I can drive up and bring it home sometime in August. It's a very clean bike with low mileage. Tim will rent a car so I can carry my riding gear and then I'll ride it back to his son's house in Brighton, CO.

Tim has sent me pictures of the area where he lives. There are lots and lots of bikes, but he hasn't mentioned seeing anything but little tiddlers. He has to ride about two blocks to get to a road and I'm not sure if an NT would have enough clearance to get down it.

Mabuhay, If I ever get my bike back on the road, maybe we can get together and ride sometime.

Greetings and welcome to the Forum! That is sure one clean NT you got commin'. Too bad you cant make it to our rally at Spearfish. I sold my 2003 Concours when I got my NT.
