How much do you weigh Red? Chuck500 looks like he comes in at 125 dripping wet and I max out at 160 during the year and we both got well over 10k miles on PR3's. Just came to mind and made me wonder what if any impact rider weight on rear tire wear.

I notice from posts and talking to others that there are very large differences in tire mileage. My PR3 rear is showing quite a bit of wear at 5200 miles. I have been a little frustrated with tire mileage since I moved south. I think it is a combination of heat, road suface, and riding habits. I'm not a go fast type but a large % of my riding are short commutes where I am braking or speeding up every 2 or 3 miles. The constant scrubbling of the tire I believe does mine in quickly.

Mine looked great til I passed 5K. Then it went downhill fast and split open at 7700
