The OE wind deflectors have served me faithfully for 114K miles but today when taking the right side middle cowl off for spark plugs replacement I found that the 3M trim tape that holds them on had finally come loose at the base. The tape let loose on the painted surface but it was still welded on the deflector itself. After about an hour of careful scraping with a plastic trim tool I managed to remove the old tape. I'm glad Phil wasn't around cause I woulda had him blushing. I'm going to clean the residue off with 3M body solvent and apply new tape and it should get good for another 114K.... I hope I will be as well.

Mike, you wrote: "I'm glad Phil wasn't around cause I woulda had him blushing."

LOL! You may have forgotten that I worked in the oil field for five years. And you may not know that ministers know how to use what one colleague of mine called "a few choice lay words."
