Yea, Tell that to the 5 inches of snow that is on my porch and below freezing temps we have had this past week. No riding even if the Sun does come out. Too much snow melt in the flats and forget the foot hills. Ice in the shadows. More gravel than necessary that is never swept up, and pot holes that a bike will disappear in. Ain't going happen here in Colorado.

Hip Hip Horay!.... Hip Hip Horay! ... here's for those the Banana belt.. heading for some weekend riding today... It will be crisp... but at least the only white stuff is my hair.

Just happy to be in the above normal band in IL for February. I may not get the NT out yet, but some outside exercise would be nice!

Better yet - come clean my garage. It is below zero here, but I have a heated garage. I'll buy your beer. And I have some great venison Brats to grill. (Mike this offer was for Chuck, not you)

OK Mike. Chuck didn’t take me up on my offer so now it goes to you. Same deal. I’ll buy your beer and grill your brats. But you gotta bring the ice cream - and don’t let it melt.

Ok, you got a deal! I'll come up next summer.... Lessee, when is that?... Oh yeah, July 14-23rd...... and you promise all the white stuff will be gone, right??

Mike

JJ, I'm thinking that this summer might be a good time to visit the Provinces since they closed Canada before I could get there in '20. While up there a lap around Gitchee Gummee might be in order whereupon I can indulge in the beer n' brats.

The NWS is now giving us an early warning of a major winter storm that will soon be bearing down upon us. They are still undecided as to timing and amount of white stuff. They are expressing high confidence of >6" with a maximum prognostification of 14"! Today will be in the mid to upper 40's and Monday the high will be in the mid to upper fifties. Needless to say, Traveller and I have a date to get in a long ride on Monday before Snowmageddon buries us 'til spring.

:well1:

After so many days with highs in the teens and 20s-30s, they're predicting a high of 50 for Tuesday so I certainly have a ride planned! :thumb:

The big snow appears to be headed our way in the Weds-to-Fri timeframe.

Well you more southern folks are the big snow winners. We have about a foot of snow (about 1/3 of our normal). Almost none in the forecast. We will just get single digit above and below zero temperatures for highs and lows. Strange weather everywhere.

But complaining about the weather is one of the only free things left these days.

Yes, weather patterns are strange as are most things in life these days. Mid 60's here today with that cold system mid week that may bring some varied winter stuff to us. We may get some stuff but I don't think it will stay long. Around here it doesn't take much though. Took a short ride today to enjoy it.

We are finally getting our thaw. It has been below zero nights and in the teens and twenties during the day. I also have a heated garage but it is not as neat as Chuck's. Spent yesterday adjusting the valves on the motorcycle. I spent more time removing the tupperware than adjusting the valves. Today I turned 80. I plan to go to Apelbee's for lunch with my ladyfriend and then spend the rest of the day at my house in front of the fireplace enjoying a movie or two and sipping some Single Malt. Life id good.

Mike, If you plan on touring the provinces, plan on stopping in Belfast. I have a guest suite available. Belfast is a lovely town. I am two blocks from the ocean. There is great sea food to be had here. This invitation goes to anyone on this forum who wants to tour Maine.
