no wonder not many young people would join motorcycle touring anymore...
 
Yes the motorcycle industry and motorcycle insurance industry is going to price themselves out of business. But then maybe that is the plan and we will all be driven around in little self driving electric bubbles. :mad:

The plan it is for sure... they all only want our best... our money...

We're currently getting milked to the brink, once the middle class has been impoverished, we'll finally have Orwell's World...

Yesterday I'd to top off my ST1100's tank... for a sum I'd recon filling up a car would have been rated as expensive...

This ended up being one of the reasons I sold the NT, not that it was thirsty but gas was headed up and I couldn't justify feeding a car, lawnmower, and a motorcycle too plus insurance. I'll focus on other hobbies for a while.
 
Spent all my money on booze and women, and just wasted the rest. Wonder how many pistons I have. I am down to one working weed wacker, two lawn tractors, two lawn mowers, a Honda generator, a snow blower and a chipper. Three cars and three bikes. Oh, and three chain saw.
Anyone in WA thinks they can ride an NT to save gas over filling up a 38 mpg car is crazy. The plates are $78 a year alone...then there is insurance, tires, maintenance. There IS the quirk that NTs have appreciated for now.
I loose a little bit on every piston I buy but I make it up on volume! :rofl1:
No worries. I am sure the feral govt will raise my social security check 8 percent a year. I also believe in the tooth fairy and world peace.

22 pistons. 6 in the truck, 4 in momma's car, 4 FJR, 4 V1K, 2 V-Strom, and 2 X300. Threw the lawn mower and weedwhacker away years ago.
 
Six at my house -- four in the CRV, two in the NT. It's nice not caring for lawn or snow removal.
 
OK, I'll play - 6 in the Toyota Venza, 6 in the Mercedes 230s, 2 in the 1973 BMW r75/5, 2 in the 2009 BMW F800ST, 1 in the weed wacker, 1 in the lawnmower, 1 in the generator so that's 19 pistons. Oh, and I guess I need to add a half piston since my neighbor and I split the cost of a snow blower.
 
Lessee... 6 in the Dodge, 6 in the Jeep, 4 in the Subie, 4 in the Miata, 2 in Traveller, 2 in the XS650, 1 in the XR70, 1 in the Spree, 1 in the tiller, 2 in the John Deere, 1 in the power washer, 1 in the weed eater, 1 in the leaf blower, 1 in the chainsaw and 1 in the generator... wow! 34! I guess I ain't carbon neutral....

My piston count is 16. That doesn't count the weed eater piston above my workbench for decoration.

I should be doing something other than counting pistons ...
28 that I ride in or on. 3 that I walk behind. 1 on the power washer that I should be using now to clean the deck and windows.
 
I'm down to 6 pistons.

What I've noticed around Greeley in the last couple of months is that a lot of people are riding E-bikes with the really fat mountain bike tires. I rarely see any of them pedaling and they're getting right along at what I'd guess is about 20mph. I'm also noticing more younger people are on sports bikes and they're gaining in numbers.
