Today I needed to make one of my famous German Bakery Runs to Wimberger's Old World Bakery, down in Colorado Springs. So it was a good time to show the new bike (Honda NT1100D) how to get there and ride some of my favorite roads down by Deckers on the way home. Total trip 168 miles. It also gave me a chance to get familiar with the Dual Clutch Transmission on the bike and figure out how to work through the Auto mode and the manual mode and the combination of the two. Here are some pictures I took along the way.

Leaving the garage for our maiden voyage to the German Bakery in the Colorado Springs.

No bun warmer. Gotta get use to the parallel twin vibs. Different than my V-twin Wee and of course a lot more pronounced than my FJR in line four. I am warming up to the DCT as I get more familiar on how to use it and what I can do with it. Great for riding and taking pictures with my left hand. No worries about shifting.

Wish I would have hit that bakery when I was there Spring 2023. And the aviation museum. Bear claws! Is the vib constant with engine speed like the NT 700 or comes and goes like the BMW 800 GT?

Chuck, what is the volume of the panniers compared to an NT 700 with big lids?

36 and 37 liters. 3 liters each from previous model. Now will fit a helmet in them. Dont remember the size of the NT700 big lids as it has been over 10 years sense I had mine.

One NT700 road test I read said w/o big lids, it was about 27 a side, but with big lids it was increased about 8 a side.
