Back in 2018 my wife suggested we go for a ride and said "take me someplace we've never been".....Dubois, Wy fit the bill. It was a great trip!

At Jerome I'd after getting flat on new rear tire. Now I have another new rear tire. We plugged the old new one at a Maverick station with two plugs. Got to a bike dealer.IMG_20250912_185728337_copy_817x474.jpg

Two Dynaplugs stopped most of the leak in my rear tire. Inside view. IMG_20250912_165222573_copy_709x518.jpg

My wife ate there a couple of weeks ago on a loop (car) through Yellowstone/GT. Also check out the 7 Lazy S in Thermopolis, and Bubba's Bar-B-Q in Cody. Skip Irma's in Cody. It doesn't begin to live up to it's hype.

I'm planning on a similar loop on the NC1100 this spring, to Beartooth Pass.

Love the whole area. Yeah, skip Irma's. I get a room near the rodeo in Cody and ride the park and passes. IMG_20250806_074213474_HDR_copy_866x551.jpg

The kids from Europe who work the lodges are fun to talk to. IMG_20250806_093213322_copy_556x520.jpg

Unless I need gas I go straight thru Cody... Bear Tooth is unequaled IMHO I did SCMA's 15 best roads two or three years. I can't remember which it is and nothing compares to Bear Tooth, Chief Joesph is nice too. The "Castle" west of Cody has an interesting story. It....I love riding in that area (in the summer!)LOL

I tire easily now in my advanced years. I like Cody for its western museum, and Heart Mountain interpretive center. And you are not allowed to soft side camp near the park. Red Lodge is nice too. Back home after a coffee break at Ross's hole.IMG_20250914_103413706_copy_630x386.jpg

At the National Museum of Military Vehicles, they have an original Bofors gun off the USS Downes, heavily damaged at Pearl Harbor. The ship was repaired and served at Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima. We couldnt figure out how to work all the controls...if anyone knows, let us know. a twin mouint bofors.jpg

Back in the day when I was a kid on board the USS Beatty DD756, I failed to get the word to stay clear of the main deck during AA practice, anti aircraft practice.

There I was strolling on the main deck wondering where everybody was, there is almost always someone around, when the 40 mm started firing, scared the hell out of me, and I quickly realized why there was no one around.
