You have to wonder how the practice of deciding went? Maybe the salesperson had big personalities? At 113, the copter could take off with half fuel load. Gotta find out what kind of copter it was.

Its a Bell 429. Very popular but it has a hover ceiling when out of ground effect of only 11,000 ft.
Think of Stead field, reno NV. Where the reno national air races were held. Field elevation was 5,000 ft. but it the air is hot and dry and low pressure, the density altitude can easily be 9,000 ft. So that Bell could only go up 2,000 ft more.
In contrast, the famous Vietnam copter, the UH-1, could hover at 13, 500 ft
