Rear brake drags after tire replacement

Sucked the air out through the rear caliper, added fluid to the rear master cylinder to keep it from sucking air. Have a firm brake peddle (and front brake). The read pistons are still not retracting, causing a serious drag on the disc. I also cleaned the caliper retaining pin.
Wow, those rear pads are seriously worn down... leaving the pistons exposed...

I bought some per your suggestion, doing a flush on Friday
I have them on all my bikes. Saves hours of time. Just have pleanty of fluid. Crack the bleeder after putting on the hose, hose goes into jar...keep on pumping and adding fluid. Snug up the bleeder, top up the reservoir and you are off to the races. no need for over torqueing anything.

Cleaned the pad retaining pin and the caliper pins then put a light coat of silicone grease on them and reassembled. All is good now! Thank you to all who commented.
Thank you Manfred. I'm having the exact same problem at the moment. This is very helpful to focus the energy because, as you know, the caliper is not easy to access....

This forum is a good place for riders to help one another. New brake pads are in my mail box.

If you are doing a brake flush, remove most of the old fluid from the master reservoir without introducing air. No point in running all of that old fluid through. Fill with new fluid and flush.
