14th Nat'l NT Rally - Jun 19-22, 2024 - Spearfish, SD

Crazy weather you northern travelers describe. I'm from Arkansas and we don't have the tall mountain passes but cold, snow like you have seen is pretty much just nuts this time of year. It does match what the weather has been jumping around to lately.
Safe travels.

Arknt
Frosty and I had to wait a day one summer as the Beartooth was snowed in. The graupel at Butte was something else. Love having moving radar on the fone.

Arrived in time for dinner at Perkins. Prime real estate for the tent is under the trees away from the smoky fire. Just Joe, Will and me here. Leaving shortly to ride the steam train for the first time in Hill City.

I made it home at 10pm yesterday, the whole trip was windy but I only got some rain in Nebraska for about 30 mins, pretty heavy but short lived. Great seeing everyone that showed up and will plan on it again next year.

Please post more photos for those of us that couldn't attend. Looks like a light crowd this year.

I know I haven't been since 2019, but I haven't had a motorcycle since 2020. I sold the Super Tenere after the pandemic stuff let up and everyone was getting back out. As a full time work at home teleworker, I just wasn't riding much anymore. When I did leave home I always seemed to need the truck. I periodically see nice used FJRs for sale. They look interesting so that might be my next bike someday.

I sold the bike to help fund house upgrade. Everything went well, with all things considered and it enabled me to move just out of the city on a few acres. Only small engine I ride these days is the garden tractor :). I haven't taken any real vacations since I moved. I like it so much here that I have been taking staycations. I have missed the Spearfish trip though.

Take care everyone.

We miss you greatly. Redbird drove his car. Just an idea.
