A new way of riding.....avoid tire cupping

At those speeds and non-extreme lean angle you're probably fine, but that's not a good habit to be in. Modulating the throttle would be the same as lightly tapping the rear brake throughout a corner while maintaining a constant throttle.
I agree that engine breaking does have the effect of putting force on the rear tire. So does a constant speed. Just as flying is a series of small corrections, so is riding a motorcycle or driving a car.
I am really excited to see what this front tire looks like after 3000 miles. If it wears as well as the tires on my other two bikes, I will be happy. I have an FJR steering head nut adjustment tool coming from Turkey and the forum says the nut torque is important for front tire wear, so I hope it comes as soon as advertised.
