Those garments don't look like they could retain much moisture.

When you say "stitch" are you referring to a Roadcrafter 1-piece or 2-piece? I'll be selling one of mine, both 1-piece, both size 40S (short). You can PM me if you're interested.I have been tempted to buy a Stitch light but since I wear dress clothes to work and ride in the winter I find the idea of having to put on layers over them and then put the stitch on to be more than I would want to deal with. My current riding jacket and overpants have zip out liners so I do not have to wear any extra clothing over my dress clothes to keep warm. I may still buy a Stitch for touring and weekend riding however. I have also looked at some of the other brands of riding suits but most of them have a fair number of negitive user comments but they do cost about 1/2 of what a Stitch does.
I think their claim of 5-10 hours of cooling relief per soaking may be a little ambitious but you may find it so and maybe the ambient temperature affects that. At the very least you can depend on a couple of hours of real cooling and most of us will stop for refueling every so often which presents an apportunity to resoak it. BTW other guys using the restroom may give you the raised eyebrow look when they see you squashing water through it but it's a small price to pay. Mumble something about your underwear creeping up on you when you ride...
Quite simply it is my feeling that a company who is engaged in the production of high-end garments with equally high prices would make those same items available in ordinary sizes....small, medium, and large. I don't feel that's too much to ask.
That is the conclusion I came to after trying to have them make a Roadcrafter to fit my unique body (Tall from head to waist, Short from waist to foot, long arms, big thighs.) Thus I've ordered from a company willing to cut the suit to my exact measurements. I will report back when I get my suit whether my choice was a good one.
They will NOT do a fully customized suit. Not for any price, not for any reason. They simply do not do that. Normal sized men on every motorcycle forum on the internet have this weird fantasy that Aerostich will do that, and they're always claiming it's true, but it's not true. AEROSTICH DOES NOT MAKE CUSTOM SUITS. They sure won't disturb their cutters - all their alterations are done to suits already cut, and even the alterations are so formulaic I bet the alteration pieces are pre-cut as well.
how many of the glowing reviews for the Roadcrafter (and for how long) complain of the leaking lap?
