Air Bag Jackets

I wear a Helite airbag vest in the winter and i were a Hit-Air airbag vest in the summer. Fortunately I have not had to find out how well they work in a crash but after wearing them now for a couple of years I would no more think about not wearing them then I do about not wearing a helmet. They are now part of my ATGATT
 
I have the Helite airbag vest (Yellow) wrapped up in a box in my garage...it belonged to a dear riding friend who sadly passed... along with his wife on their way to Alaska on their BMW sidecar outfit...The vehicle was totalled..reduced to scrap in a head on with a minivan..I don't know why he was not wearing the vest...it is brand new with spare compressed air cylinders...It may have saved his life.... we will never know....I can't get myself to wear it.
