Bridgestone T31 [E] or [GT]?

I haven't decided what I'll do for the NT yet, but for the 180/55 bikes I'm thinking of giving the Shinko Ravens a try. I have plenty of T30's to burn through first though. 😁

Well, 7°C, rain, windy... but GF insisted on transferring her NT from the shed into my underground garage... 🤔
Reminded her to take it easy with the brand new front tire, gave her a ride over and followed in the VW T6 panel van...
The T30 Evo behaved so far in those 45 minutes, handling a bit skittish with the casting stubs still sticking out... 😉
And it holds air, not a single digit lost since I've installed it on my "green thing" 😎

Long weekend tour, some rain/downpours, GF finally claims the BW 502 Battlewing rear tire feels unsteady on wet tarmac... 🤔
Order for a rear T30 Evo is out, should arrive this week... I wasn't a fan of that tire mix anyway... 😏

T30 EVO installed, new OEM front rotors while at it...

GF reports quicker turning... obvious, compared the BW 502 had a pretty "flat" cross-section...

Well, since my GF paid for the whole tire, she's using all of it...

So far they behave exceptionally well...

Quite agile, precise steering, neutral, no upright momentum when applying brakes while leaned, or getting stiff when leaning into corner with brakes applied, minimal reaction on tar-snakes, grooves, etc... no headshake, no vibes, no unruly rear end...
She's quite happy here in the Alps, getting smoother and quicker every day, in fact she got into an argument with a HD rider today over him blocking her way...
...harsh on ze ego though, noisy chromed stone-age and getting smoked by a lady in the twisties... on a Dullville... :rofl1:

I just put a new front Conti Road Attack 3 on my NT, previous one had over 10k on it and was still handling pretty good, with some feathering I could feel through the handlebars, and some minor tracking on road grooves. New one working great! The combination of these Conti tires and the Traxxion front suspension mods works really well for me.

So, T 30 EVO unavailable, hence ordered a set T 31 for her NT700... (prepping for Norway later on...)
I don't assume any noticeable changes in handling and performance? 🤔

restocked, will install the T31's on the NT Saturday...

Alright, T31's are on ...

... by their thread pattern they do look a bit like those Michelin Pilot Road though...

The T30 Evo lasted about 10,000km; still not fully worn down, but wouldn't leave a good impression at the mandatory, oncoming, annual MOT inspection and we need to have fresh tires for the planned Norway trip anyway...

(PS: the religious/fanatic aversion of my GF towards anything even remotely associated to vehicle cleaning, doesn't ease the job either ... 😁 )

Your GF should be happy with those tires. I have run two rear T31s on DIVA and am pretty satisfied with them. :woohoo:

Well, the T31's are worn down...
After ~8000km/5000miles they show quirky handling due to cupping; TWI's are close too...

On her request I just placed an order for a set T32's... we'll see how those perform... 🤔

Hello. I started my Deauville last year with a Pirelli Angel Gt. This is a very good tire at a reasonable price. I drove about 5,000 km on it and it does not show wear. It drives very well, especially in the wet.

The tires on my friend's NT700 are due because of age...
And after 10,000km the Dunflop on the front of my GF's NT700 doesn't look that pretty either ...

front: T31 120/70 17 58W
rear: T31 150/70 17 69W TL

is obvious, but the front is avail in [E] (OEM equipment) or [GT] (Grand Tourismo) dedicated to heavier bikes like ST1100/1300

Any contradictions to use a GT on the NT?
As it turns out will a GT come for € 100,45,-, whilst they're putting a € 145,15,- tag on the E... 🤨
(€ 124,21,- for the rear tire feel moderate though...)
I suspect that the sidewalls of the GT are more heavily reinforced than the E so you have have a bit harsher ride over bumpy roads.

The guy at the parts counter at my local Honda dealer mentioned that the T31 had been discontinued and was no longer available. So I had to get a T32 for the front of my NC700X.

I have not been able to ride the bike due to one of the brake components that I need being on backorder. I have not been able to ride the bike due to one of the brake components that I require is on backorder.
