Sad to see our beloved NT700 is finally being pushed out of production due to tighter emissions regs in Europe.

Per attached article, with Euro4 emission regs kicking in in Jan. 2017, Honda will stop making the NT700 - interesting that in 2015 they only sold 178 units in France. Every product has a life cycle and no doubt Honda stretched and milked that cycle for NT700 as best as they could...

Is there any way to find out their actual historical sales by market by year.. anyone close to Honda Europe or HQ in Japan??

"But the game is it worth it? Doubt is allowed immediately in view of the volume decline in sales of the "Deauv", with only 178 units sold on the French market in 2015 ." That pretty much sums up how likely it is for Honda, or anyone else, to bring out a comparable replacement...

Honda,

Please produce an NT with the VFR 800 motor and normal (not close) ratio transmission. Oh, add cruise control as well.

and ... add heated grips, LED lighting, and popular options.
and ... make it weigh less than 550# and cost less than $12,000.
and ... retail them in the US.

Loved the Google translation! The Deauville sales last year were left-overs. Production definitely ended in '13.

The Deauville was introduced in 1998. If it had a 15 year run as the article states that would mean its last year was 2013

I'm still left scratching my head on this article. I looked at the Honda Europe website and the Deauville isn't even offered. So I wonder if production actually stopped in May 2013 and the 178 units sold were the leftovers that were still unsold.

Daboo - if you go to Honda France, they are offering the bike... I believe they were still selling them in France and Spain... or maybe they are selling left overs from 2013 ...

I'm still trying to sell a beautiful black 2011 because I bought a BMW F800GT. I think my wife would kill me if I went to France and bought another. :D I was just trying to figure out how the bike just now ceased production when I thought it went out of production a couple years ago. Phil and Warren clarified things nicely.

Chris - I hear you... but just for the hell of it this is what's posted on Honda website in France: http://moto.honda.fr/motorcycles/range/touring/nt700v-deauville/overview.html

I was looking at the pictures on the French web site. They are supposed to all have ABS but I could not see the sensor ring like we have on the US models. Wonder if its a different system or an old picture.

Honda will come out with something comparable, remember they had the PC800 which did not sell well, then the NT, and others.....I had 2 PC800's and 1 NT700, maybe another NT after my current life cycle of making it to 200K

IMNSHO, Daboo's got his bike priced right and he's advertising it in the right place (this Forum). if I was richer and didn't already have one that I think is going to be reliable after I pick it up tomorrow, I'd buy his --- it's well equipped and a nice bikel
