Hi Everyone, new to the site. I couldn't see a newbie section ? Anyway, I have just bought a category N Deauville. Here in the UK that means that it has been damaged in an accident, however the damage is non structural and the bike can be repaired but the insurance company deem it to be uneconomical to do so.
Upon getting the bike delivered I noted nearly new tyres, a good battery, oil level full and not been in there very long, in fact all that I could see was a cracked rear number plate and a missing bar end. I thought I was pushing my luck but decided to fire it up, she kicked in at the first go, sounded ok too, although I did notice the heat shield was a bit lose and rattling. I am half way through a simple fix for that and thought I would share it at the link below.
