Just pick up a nice NT in April. So far it's a good fit. I am a little tired of the rain though.
Between the rain and the house remodeling I have only managed to put 1000 miles on it.
Shame on me. I just came off a 2012 650 Versys, really a good bike. Travels well and a bit of a hooligan. Much better power than the NT. This is my second NT. My first was a 650 GT Hawk. I rode it for 31
years and still would if I could fold myself up enough to get on and ride. Loved that engine !
Well I am retired now and looking for a travel companion that is not so portly. Just got rid of a 02 wing and a 01 BMW rt. I tried to purchase my old Nighthawk S from my brother, nope no go there. And this popped up, 21000 miles. Bar risers, C-bailey windshield, new rubber and a Delkavic exhaust system.
All for under four grand, mine now.

Thank you. I like it so far. It could use better suspension and larger saddle bags. Nothing money won't fix. If Kawasaki had seen fit to put a shaft on the Versys I would have one now.
So far on this site I have gleaned a ton of great info. My thanks to all of you.

Hope the bike is a good fit for you for a long time. I agree the suspension could be better. There are large lids for the panniers. If you haven't read much about the bag latches on this site you may want to. It is a weak point that many have fixed with external latches. You may have one of the few with a different exhaust installed.

I hope you enjoy your NT as much as I've enjoyed mine. I've got 132,000+ miles on mine and it runs like it did when I got it. That's after replacing the fuel pump last summer. I thought it was dying...it would barely do 65, and was pitiful uphill when I came home from Spearfish and the National NT/ST Rally last June. But the fuel pump fixed it.

Big lids make a huge difference in the bike's use-ability. I've got them and a Russell Day-Long Saddle plus a Rostra electronic cruise control. The CC and the saddle are the two most important farkles on my bike. But I've got lots of others.
 
What Phil said. I am even now taking my NT to our rally in Spearfish SD. Its really a great bike and not obese like my FJR. But the big lids are a necessity for me as a camper who likes comfort. Chris camping out in a Super 8 tonight.
 
Welcome Versysguy. I had an ‘08 Versys before my NT. Fun bike. But the NT was way more comfortable but a lot less fun. Now riding a Tiger 800.

Junglejim I also had a 08 Versys in red. Very farkled out. Wife wanted a goldwing so I traded it in. I still had the 88 Hawk to misbehave on. Then the arthritis started to let me know it was boss. So I bought a left over Versys in yellow.. I keep finding myself on bikes classed as middleweights. Love them.14310
 
The RZ was one of those bikes I had to have. Not that nice, it had a dent in the tank and a couple cracks in the fairing. I only kept it 3 years but was fun to ride.
Nothing like an old 2 stroke.
