With our climate change, we are in danger for a bigger fire year than even 2015 here in WA.
Saturday, we will have wind gusts of over 40 mph, and there are lots of fires burning all over the west.
One is 125K acres 100 miles west of me. 25 percent contained. One idiot with a burn barrel in 1996 had me evacuating my state patrol vehicle through the flames.
There is no way you can outrun a grass fire in a 40 mph wind.

2015 This is what we lost in 2015.

You dont want to come home and see this. We came home from dinner out and saw this 2 miles away from out house.

Yes, the oddball weather stuff and large fires have me pondering on it a bit. It kind of seems to be everywhere to some extent, big fires north, west and in Europe also.
Certainly, does not seem to be a simple feasible solution. Yes, hang on and have good thoughts.

Correct. If it were just one year, you do one thing...what you can.... Here, if you ignore firestorm 1991 and 1996, both of which we felt deeply here at my house, conditions have been going downhill since 2015. I will keep my politics to myself but there is an excellent fire pack that literally slides into all C130s around the world, except the gun ships, and Canadair and others make an excellent twin turboprop scooper...the CL415. I also know where you can get a large pool of idle folk with time on their hands for very slowly thinning the overgrown forests. If one old man can do 15 acres..think about what they can do.
