In today's newspaper, I read this article and the I thought .... Mr Irvine was 86, riding a 1300 cc motorcycle on a nice warm sunny afternoon, in a nice part of WA, on route 20 along the Pend Orelle River, 50 miles away from home ...
I do not know him. I do not know if he had any problems or issues that he was dealing with. I just think that he was enjoying the ride and took his last nap.

Likely a lot of money involved in the investigation. Sometimes the results for investigations don't come out for months.
Each case is different I realize but sometimes a short logical look at it is all it needs.

As someone who worked for WSP for 11 years and helped the detectives out filing evidence from closed cases, I can tell you that any fatality is pretty fully investigated but in the case of a one vehicle accident, maybe not so much. If the family gets an autopsy, they might find out there was a medical emergency or not. We all know people that have simply stopped riding the bike and have ridden off the road. Then there is the guy last week who hit the horse trailer at 80 mph in a 45 zone and died on scene. Even though the pickup with trailer turned in front of him, no tickets were issued.
When there is a fatality were one vehicle hits another, then there is much money spent on the investigation. Lawyers involved.

Car departs I90 this morning. Note tire tread.
A Darwin failure...he had minor injuries. The car is way off the interstate.
