Can any of y'all confirm if this is a large pannier lid? It's listed as P/N 08L52MEW84102, which is described as a large lid on several web sites. It doesn't look large to me.
Thank you!What I believe is...
From what I remember, the "L" or any letter in the first five characters (08L52) indicates that it is likely not a normal part on the motorcycle as built, and is likely a Honda kit. IIRC that was how all kits were sold and ID'ed, like heated grips, extra lights, luggage, etc. Here is a list of Honda accessories for the 2010 US NT700 and the 3rd digit is always a letter. Large lids weren't a US accessory and aren't listed.
- 08L52-MEW-***(**) should be part of a NT700V large lid set/kit. That includes a large left or right large lid.
- 81330-MEW-***(**) should be a small original NT700V left lid. 81332-MEW should be the US small left lids.
- 81230-MEW-***(**) should be a small original NT700V right lid. 81232-MEW should be the US small right lids.
You have the other side lid to look at!! Even the small ones have a formed bottom out from seamIt seems to me that the small lids do not have that lip along the bottom - only the large lids do. Is this accurate?
Hmm. ok.You have the other side lid to look at!! Even the small ones have a formed bottom out from seam
Thank you!It looks like a large lid, and it has a part number that came from an accessory kit further making me think it is a large lid.
Here is every part number that cmsnl list for 08L52-MEW... Every part is from the large lid kits in several colors made throughout the years, and none of them are small lids or small lid parts.
Your original post had 08L52-MEW-84102. That is a part pulled from Honda accessory kit 08L52-MEW-841, which looks like a set of Shasta White large lids. 08L52-MEW-84102 is just one lid.
