Riding in the heat and humidity is no joke out here in KY. My big V-Stream windscreen isn't helping things. About to switch to the stock screen ( Thanks Brad!) so i can, hopefully, get more air to my hands, helmet and the vents on my jacket. Gonna miss the protection from bugs though. We've got plenty of those, especially at night.
 
I use the OE windshield in the warm months and the V-Stream starting in October. BTW, drier air is headed your way tomorrow. It's delightful here in MO today. Watch out for next week though :eek:

S'posed to get to 102F here in Greeley, CO, today. But it'll be a dry heat. Our relative humidity is about 9%. I use the V-Stream all year and just keep my 'Stitch's cuffs open and hanging in the breeze. I'm going to ride to Ft Morgan (only 53 miles) on Tuesday and will wear LD Comfort gear.
 
After a couple of seasons I quit removing my V-Stream. I hated looking through all the bugs splattered on my face shield. The V-Stream was tall enough even in the second position where I keep it to catch all the bugs that would have hit me in the face and tossed the rest over my head.
 
Hot here in the Red Stick and we have the high humidity to add to that.

Do you have those (much) larger critters out at night too. Like deer and coons??? They tend to make riding at night risky. Of course if you ride in town were there are fewer deer there are those other mammals driving SUVs and often after double bubble hour and while texting. Pick your poison.
 
Oh yeah. We have plenty of deer, coons, rabbits, armadillos, skunks, turtles, coyotes, fox, opossums and turkey vultures out here. Our auto insurance is about 20% higher than it would be if we lived in town. A drive after 6pm will guarantee at least half a dozen deer sightings near the road. Plenty of road kill regardless of what road you drive on. On a positive note the local dogs and yard birds all avoid getting in the road.
 
Yep I have too many riding jackets, and in warm weather I wear a vented jacket (I have 2). On a trip I been know to bring 2 jackets, one for any type weather and a vented that is lighter for warm weather. I have BMW, Aerostich, and one that is popular in England. I don't know how I have so many. As for pants I have Aerostih, and Kevlar jeans with pads (in fact I broke my ankle wearing these and did not have a scratch).
I wear wicking gear is hot weather, Kilm Aggressor cool pant. I tent to sweat more then most people I think. Long ago I use to work as a carpenter and heat was just a nuisance: now that I am an old man it much more then casual discomfort.
I know a rider who took a bag of ice and put it on his shoulders to get out of Texas on a long ride in the summer. It is easier to dress for cold then heat.

Well, the V-Stream is gone. Tossed out during a "let's get rid of all these empty boxes in the garage" moment by mistake. I'll just have to make do with the OEM screen from here on out!
 
Retired out of Ft Campbell in Kentuckasia. Lived outside of Hopkinsville. Firs year there it was 106 in the shade everyday for over a week and then in the winter dropped to zero for a month. Way things are going I am too far south for comfort... It is Hot here again.
