Happy Birthday Navy!
(I wonder what cemetery Lee Marvin is buried in?)

I always liked Lee Marvin. It's interesting to note the modest gravestone. He must have been a hell raiser in the Corps though to remain a PFC after his tour.
Semper Fi!!

Looks like a Veterans Cemetery.
Looks like a grave marker I have seen from Spokane WA St. Military cemetery to the National Cemetery in Sitka...somewhere there is a data base on line where you can look up where they are interned.

Got my spot. They are waiting for the last date (no hurry, OK?). Wife of 50 years is saving the place beside her.

We have a beautiful veterans cemetery nearby. Wife and I were talking about final resting place just this AM. I'd prefer the veterans cemetery and she prefers a local one. We're working it. Neither of are planning on dying, we're just planning for dying.

You have a good attitude. But plan we must. No one lives for ever and we want to make things easy on those left behind....Frosty has me thinking. I was going to have my wife plant my Urn in the dog memorial park we have, but now I am thinking about another sea salt Urn that can allow me to be burried at sea.....when the developers buy my land after I am gone, they will probably make my last resting place into a septic field.

At our Veteran's Cemetery if you are cremated, you have you choice of: Ashes Buried and a tombstone, ashes spread in a memorial garden with a stone set along the walk to the garden, or placed in a space in a Columbarium Wall with a plaque on the ouside.

We've elected to donate our bodies to the Washington University Medical School. We were opting for cremation but decided that perhaps our bodies could advance some young doctor's medical knowledge. After they have finished with the remains, they are cremated, and spread in a memorial garden at the Tyson Research Center.

Bless you. Since I am going to chose (hopefully) the when where and how I pass, it may not be an option for me. Plus I am considering burial at sea vs burying my Urn on our dog memeorial hill.
