Since it's way too quiet in here today I thought I'd share some pictures of how the tank lifts, and what's underneath.
First, we have the tank lifted and propped with a piece of wood. Note that you don't have to take off as much bodywork as I have removed in this picture. You just need to take off the black things by the knees, and the pieces with the fairing pockets.
Next, we have the view of the airbox, with the tank lifted.
And here is the underside of the tank, where the connections all are.
