It is with a sad heart that I need to advise forum members that Macka passed away around four months ago. It has taken me this long to be able to make contact with his family to confirm the sad news.

Macka had been fighting cancer for some years and we had planned to ride together from Melbourne to Perth when his health had improved enough to allow this. Unfortunately our plans were never fulfilled, maybe I will do the ride some day in memory of Macka.

He was always ready to offer tech assistance to members of our forum and the UK forum. He will be missed. God speed my friend.

Speaking of the NT-UK forum I gave up on that years ago because it was always having difficulties. Is it better now?

He was always very helpful and ready to offer excellent advice. I'm so sorry to hear he's passed away.

My heart-felt condolences to his family and friends.

Sorry to hear of his passing.
He was always helpful and put out good advice.
Hope his family is doing OK.

I too am sorry to hear of his passing. I always enjoyed reading from all our NT friends in OZ and other countries as well and felt all the input added greatly to our forum. It’s amazing how just the appreciation for a motorcycle could form a bond of friends literally around the world. I also found Macka’s trips to Japan interesting - I think his wife was Japanese if I’m not mistaken. Wendell

Macka and I would not always agree on a technical subject. I had the utmost respect for him. He would give me kudos when they were due. He will be missed.

It seems that Mike will have to take over that role. Then we, "Smart-Asses," can wrestle with technical topics. ;)
