Never Say Never....

Not a good day to be touring parts of the west. North half of ID and MT dont look too bad.

Phil you are looking really well, that diet is obviously agreeing with you.

Keep well and ride safe.

Seagrass
Hey seagrass, are you after a free bed over there too? I have already offered you one here! :giggle:
Of course, with Melbourne in lockdown for at least another three weeks and the state borders closed, nobody is going anywhere ATM.
We are not allowed to travel more than 5km from home and then only for food, medical care, work or exercise (1 hour max).
I need to go to Hospital for a regular blood test next Wednesday. The Hospital is a little more than 5km from home but I will have the Pathology Request with me.
As a mechanic and still working part time, I have to carry with me a "Permitted Workers Permit" to show Police if I am stopped whilst out on a road-test. It has not happened yet but I did see a road-block set up about 500 metres from here a few days ago.
A little off topic but related to travel in a Covid-19 environment.

Just curious, does Dudley II seem much different than Dudley I? The reason I ask is that Traveller with 118K seems to ride like the day I bought him. I've often wondered if a newer NT would ride much different or has he held up so well.... better'n me!

Mike

Mike, the biggest differences I noticed at first was that the clutch's engagement point was farther out than on Dudley. And the throttle was a little sticky (I went back to Empire yesterday to get the throttle cables lubed and that made a difference). I also am still having trouble shifting. A big part of that is that I got new boots and this trip is the first time I've worn them, so they're still pretty stiff. Empire Cycle adjusted the shift linkage so I can at least get my toe under for upshifts. That was nearly impossible on Wednesday when I rode to Frosty's and still bad when I rode back to Empire yesterday morning.

This bike may accelerate just a tad better and it may have a bit better fuel economy. I'll start learning that after I put gas in it this morning and then with the next tank I'll have an even better indication. I've got a record on Fuelly.com and you can look under Honda NT700VA and find Dudley's records.

I tracked 108,056.9 miles, 598 fuel-ups, averaged 47.1mpg (best ever was 68.6 during my Epic Ride in '13), used 2295.25 gallons, and spent $6813 on gas during that 108K miles.

Wow,,,,,, All we hear here on the news is politics....thanks!

We had some of that smoke drift in, this afternoon. Not yet burning the sinuses; but that oppressive, end-of-the-world look...weak sunshine...and the heat.

Matched the day, for me. While Phil was waiting to find out whether I'd make it out of the doc's office to join him...the doc ordered me to the horse-piddle, for testing.

Old age thingy; and for me, old age is coming to me, young. Possible phlebitis in the leg - they wanted to make sure, and figure out what to do with it.

Phil rounded the corner, Lolo Pass to Lolo village to Hamilton, all alone.
All Alone?
