Over 900 miles since I bought it, 4th fuel-up. 54 MPG. Love this bike!
Yep, GF ('07 NT700VA) and I ('00 ST1100) just returned from a 3 week turn to Scotland and back, and found the NT growing quite a thirst when maintaining motorway speeds (up to 100mph) where my ST still shows moderate/unchanged consumption (that V4 only starts to guzzle above 100mph)...Just don't expect anything near those MPG figures if you decide to spool up that engine on the Interstates.
I stay off Interstate highways when I am on my motorcycle. 65 MPH is normal cruising speed for me.Yep, GF ('07 NT700VA) and I ('00 ST1100) just returned from a 3 week turn to Scotland and back, and found the NT growing quite a thirst when maintaining motorway speeds (up to 100mph) where my ST still shows moderate/unchanged consumption (that V4 only starts to guzzle above 100mph)...
But we don't "monitor", too much effort... GF just keyed the SENA radioing her need for fuel ~100km/60miles earlier then usual; on back-roads she sees up to 400km/250miles on a full tank...
Best wishes for a speedy recovery...modern medicine is amazing. I will have my gods talk to your God.I was having serious problems catching my breath. I was preaching one Sunday and about collapsed. My doc told me go to the ER. They discovered I was anemic and the CAT scan showed a large tumor in my descending colon. All were convinced the tumor was cancerous. Full contrast CAT scan showed it was growing. They scheduled me for surgery. The tumor was 5 inches diameter, 8 inches long. They removed 12 inches of my colon, some muscle and 6 inches of my small intestine that were being pushed against by the tumor. Pathology report after surgery showed no cancer in connecting tissue or lymph nodes. The size of the tumor and the difficulty in detecting cancer in the vascular system that supports the lymph nodes put me at Cat 2C - chemo is "insurance" against the possibility of cancer in that system. I may not stick with the whole schedule.
There is only one God - all others are blind and mute, creations of men.

You are a wise person.I stay off Interstate highways when I am on my motorcycle. 65 MPH is normal cruising speed for me.
