I was finally able to ride the NT1100 with the Powerbronze 655 screen. The short version is that it's a major improvement over the OEM screen.
Riding conditions were high 80s, low 90s. RH around 25, bright sun. I was wearing a silver full mesh jacket and a Helite Turtle air vest. I had plenty of air on my arms, and I never did feel crushingly hot, although I did start to sweat a little at the end of the ride, after a fuel stop in direct sun and then riding through town. I'm about 6'3" - 6'4" (used to be 6'5" before shrinkage set in). I have a relatively long torso and a 34" inseam (jeans). I was riding on a mix of county roads and state highways. Speeds were generally 55 to 70 although I may have hit 90 once or twice.
There was no significant helmet buffetting at any height setting. The lower settings were noisier, but generally not as noisy as with the stock screen. The sweet spot for me is the mid #3 position. Fairly quiet and good airflow, very good vision over the screen. Setting 4 (next to top) was quieter, but for me would be better in cold/rainy weather. The top position probably won't be used very much. The top edge of the windscreen is RIGHT in my line of sight looking straight forward, and, oddly, I was getting some minor buffetting on the left side of my helmet. I would probably only use this setting in really bad weather, and #4 might even be better. I'll have to ride in some rain to find out. For riding in town and other low speed riding the lowest position flows plenty of air.
Working with Powerbronze was great; it was shipped to the US in a little less than two weeks. As they mention on their web site, there was no shipping charge and apparently they took care of any customs issues on their end. They were quick to respond to my concerns regarding the attachment hardware.
This is the windshield that should have been shipped with the bike, and it's a very cost effective improvement to riding comfort. Five stars.
