Piston speed is no longer the death sentence it used to be in older machines. Tolerences and metalurgy have come a long way. I am so old I remember when gas station attendants checked your oil.

They reduced the weight of the connecting rods and used forged pistons in the NT, to reduce bearing loads.

So do I. Gas was 32cents a gallon. I had a mini bike and I remember putting a quarters worth gas in my metal gas can and I had gas for a week.
