Some rumors going around there...Loved the pics....is it true Norway is very expensive? I hear horror stories about a $100 hamburger...love the little cabins, personally...and screw mcdonalds
Thanks! With the strong dollar now, looks like prices have come down. Some rumors going around there...
I'd say price levels are bearable...
Depending on size & appliances cabins range NOK 400~800,- (€ 37~75,-), the most expensive (huge, with a/c, large flat TV, etc...) came for NOK 1800,- (€ 170,-)
A "premium chicken burger" (at a gas station!) came for NOK 59,- (€ 5.58,-), the fries NOK 22,- (€ 2.08,-), a 0.5ltr Coke NOK 27,- (€ 2.55,-)...
Fuel is slightly over Austrian prices...
total expenses for two folks and two motorcycles, including car train (Innsbruck<>Hamburg with nice cabin) and ferry (Kiel<>Oslo, also nice outboard cabin, dinner, breakfast) round-trips, 2 weeks Scandinavia, the 4 days touring in Austria, fuel, food, etc... were aprox € 5000,-... not really shocking IMO...
