In addition to what Manfred stated, in my application, I added on latch to each panier positioned in the rear as I felt that was more ascetically placed. They seem to do the job.

Also, as I mentioned before, my left panier latches completely disintegrated and the panier lid cracked. I did to work to it, JB weld etc. repainted it and fixed it. See the pictures.

A beauty, clean! I see you have the pannier deck latches, my left pannier both strikers broke off the plastic, the one closest to the engine not so bad and I was able to get it functional with JB weld, but the rear one just disintegrated on me. I thought of putting the deck latches as you have but was afraid when drilled, it may break the hard plastic especially the pannier painted lid side. Any suggestions?
Hi Manfred, sorry for the delay in responding. No issues in my application. The hard plastic when drilling didn't give me any issues. I drilled it very slowly with the bit slight smaller than the screw.
