Sad day; NT and Griso both moved to back of garage, behind Jeep. :(

Ever since buying this home 20 years ago; the garage has always been organized to the four wheeled vehicle on one side of garage and my motorcycles on the other side.
Hence whenever I wanted to drive/ride a particular vehicle; I simply opened a garage door and drove or rode said vehicle out of the garage.

But since buying a second four wheeled vehicle (2013 Mazda5 manual transmission - ie stick shift minivan) to be used in ride sharing (so far only Uber).
I've been wondering about parking it in garage instead of outside.

Well today I did some garage reorganization and managed to get all vehicles in the 2-bay garage (really just a 2-bay shed).
But in doing so; sadly I had to park my two street bikes; 2010 NT700 + 2010 Griso BEHIND the Jeep, and battery tender cables hanging willy-nilly. 😢

Which now means going for a motorcycle ride, will be much more involved.
Instead of simply putting on all my riding gear and walking out to garage; the procedure will now be:
  1. Open that side garage door,
  2. drive out Jeep,
  3. squeeze my fat butt between motorcycles,
  4. disconnect battery tender cables and try to reroute them out of way,
  5. roll out given motorcycle,
  6. drive jeep back into garage, (and being VERY careful not to back into motorcycles)
  7. walk into house and put on motorcycle gear (impossible to drive jeep while in riding gear),
  8. then walk back outside on hop on motorcycle.
My yearly riding had dropped significantly when starting to work-from-home several years ago.
From having to change motorcycle tires and oils every month; to oil only once or twice per year and tires every other year. 😥
So now with this garage arrangement; I bet my motorcycle riding may drop even more.
And I hate even thinking about maintenance on any given vehicle.

But then again; I am thankful to have this problem. 🙏

Example of how the NT and Griso now are buried in the garage:

You need to sell that jeep wrangler before it starts giving you problems and gets into your wallet. I sold mine and bought a Mazda MX-5.

Yeah....me too. I have two garages and three bikes. When wife goes to dog club, its much easier to get 2 of the bikes out. I hope your Goose isnt one of those built with soft valve actuation parts were the engine handgrenades... I very seldom use battery tenders....but everything gets ridden at least once a month.

Sadly I believe my Griso is one of those.
It currently has a little over 140k miles, valve adjustment has not been possible for since 90k miles, original oil cooler had to be replaced due to began leaking YEARS ago and was filled with metal debris.
For years I had my eye on the roller tappet conversion; but it was always a little out of my price range, and finding any Guzzi dealer willing to install it was a no-go.
So for years it's been sounding like crap when rolling off throttle and is very hard to ride smoothly at parking lot speeds. Not that it was ever smooth at at parking lot speeds when new.
Their fuel map has a misfire at just above idle; ie parking lot speeds. 😆
PLUS every time I take it for a ride; I wonder if "this ride" will be the one when I get a piston through a knee. 🤣

Jeep is definitely staying inside. It's my main vehicle.
The Mazda is only temporary, has more miles than Jeep, and is very cramped for my over 6'3" body.

Your more vehicles than garage space is quite common. Most people around here have vehicles parked outside and much other stuff in the garage.
I am in the other court on this. I have a double attached garage, a single garage for mowers, and a 30' x 50' shed that I try hard not to fill up with "stuff" I don't need. Don't get me wrong I also don't throw much of anything away or sell it. The indoor space is sure nice.

Second solution is to park Van out side, being that it is only temporary. Why does a temp vehicle have to take the place of permanent vehicles.
