Oshkosh flyin is coming. I checked out my mighty Schwinn scooter today for its 13th ride to Oshkosh.
The handle collapses
The Ill Eagle seat and post just pull out with the loosening of one bolt. Had to buy them separately. Federal law at the time.
Uses 2 mighty lead acid 12 V batteries, (12 v each, in tandem) $20 Combined, 10 ah.
Can go up to 12 mph
can go for 7 miles on a charge. It is one mile to the flight line and one mile back. Asphalt.
10 mph speed limit, IIRC
Free scooter stickers are no longer required.
I had a cheep gas scooter. The 50 cc engine was wonderful. Went like stink. The rest of the bike was a POS....gave it away.
On the flightline, I just plug it into a shower house external outlet if it needs charge.
Every trip to the flightline is an adventure. the road is full of people, bicycles, quads, motorcycles, impotant people in cars, and buses.
I rode e bikes before ebikes were cool.
