Generally speaking, I believe most states east of the Big Muddy do not allow the triples. We really do need to improve our archaic rail system so most of the big stuff could be shipped by rail, then transferred to trucks outside of the cities. On I-70 across Indiana in either direction, sometimes there are what appear to be almost endless trains of semi-trucks in the slow lane.
As regards Tipi-burners, I would have thought all those construction "cut-offs" and sawdust could be used to make composite wood products such as particle or pressboard? Perhaps there isn't enough money there to make that worthwhile or the lumber industry is against creating competition?
