I have a Nelson-Rigg Tail Bag to use on the NT, wanted a mounting plate (i.e. shelf) to secure loads back there. Started out thinking to use al-u-many-um but decided on plastic instead. Used 1/4" thick UHMW Black plastic sheet......about $21 plus shipping. The bag I am using is "semi-rigid" so allowing the ass-end hang off alittle should be OK. I did not want the plate to extend too far out to the back. Hardest part was trying to make those tie-down slots........making them look square and uniform. Attached some Footman Loops on the back underside for who-knows-what down the line?? (NOTE: in the pics I have not installed the N-R bag straps yet)
