Alright, tore down my GF's NT700VA to replace the cowl stay sub-frame today...

slotted garnish-plate installed...

Alright, as CMS left me hanging with a parts order, leaving my GF riding without screen in gastly weather, I had to get crafty...


repurposing my kitchen to cook things up...




rivet nuts in place, shaping in progress...




bespoke fit...




angled to match the radius of the screen...




bit taller then the OEM items, but will do for now...




snug fit...




...low...




...mid...




...high...




GF is a happy commuter again...

Martin, you might want to explain the difference between the pre 08 model NT700 and the post 08 model NT700 as we here in the US only got the 2010 -2011 model NT700's

changes from '07 to '08 production:
wind screen mounts (from 2 position fix to 5 position sliding mechanism
clear lens taillight
red markings on the pannier lid release levers (visual open/close check)

Like 48 hours after I went through above process, the OEM parts got finally delivered... Murphy and that...
(plus I'm arguing with CMS about charging me twice for P&P whilst (deliberately?!) shipping only once... )
